Welcome to Our Website

The Irish Terrier Association was formed in 1911, the first president being the Marquis of Breadalbane, with vice presidents including HH The Maharajah of Jind, The Right Hon. Lord Greville, The Lord Dewar, Maj. Gen. Sir Foster Newland and Colonel Sir Edward Ward. Eventually The Right Hon. The Earl of Lonsdale became President and retained his interest in the Association until his death in 1944.

The ITA holds its annual championship show in June at Tomlinsons Canine Centre, Ratby Lane, Markfield, Leicester LE67 9RJ and the open show and fun day in September at Roade Community Centre, Roade, Northants NN7 2LP.

The AGM is held at Shottery, Memorial Hall, Shottery, Nr. Stratford in March/April each year. We combine the AGM with a morning special event covering some relative Irish Terrier Topic.
