Welcome to the

 Web Site.

We hope that within this site you will find a wealth of useful information about our very special breed.

The Irish Terrier Association was formed in 1911. The first president being the Marquis of Breadalbane, with vice presidents including HH The Maharajah of Jind, The Right Hon. Lord Greville, The Lord Dewar, Maj, Gen. Sir Foster Newland, and Colonel Sir Edward Ward.  Eventually The Right Hon. The Earl of Lonsdale became President and retained his interest in the Association until his death in 1944.

The Association holds its annual championship show in June at

Tomlinsons Canine Centre, Ratby Lane, Markfield, Leicester LE67 9RJ.

And the open show and fun day in September at

Roade Community Centre, Roade, Northants NN7 2LP.

The AGM is held at

Shottery, Memorial Hall, Shottery, Nr. Stratford.

In March/April each year we combine the AGM with a morning special event covering some relative Irish Terrier Topic.

Please come along and support our events where you can meet other Irish Terrier owners and breeders and enjoy a day talking about Irish Terriers.

The Irish Terrier Year Book published annually is available free to all paid up members of the association. This publication is a valuable source of information giving details of all IT activities.
